The tenth week again delivered, with a major surprise for the Bills demonstrating the 'any given Sunday' saying that attracts so many people into the National Football League

That result could have created things up for the New England Patriots to move back into a top spot they formerly held, with a schedule that gives them an advantage over their eight and two rivals

Meanwhile in the NFC the Seahawks and Rams had ideal outcomes to arrange a monster clash in week 11, while our player of the week is pursuing milestones as well as the MVP award

The Breakdown - Just a Bad Day for Buffalo?

Josh Allen in action
Was Josh Allen attempt too much or could it simply have been a bad day for Buffalo?

Could it simply have been an emotional letdown from defeating Kansas City the previous week or something more? This remains the question for the Buffalo team to answer

The Bills had secured seven victories in a consecutive games against the Dolphins but were outperformed from the start as the Dolphins emerged as 30-13 victors in an eye-opening outcome - and performance

MVP quarterback Josh Allen only achieved the team's opening first down in the third quarter and initial scoring in the fourth - yes Miami had ten days to get ready but it was still a massive egg produced by one of the NFL's top offences

Dolphins quarterback Tua threw two scores but running back Achane was the devastating difference, with 225 total yards and two touchdowns

Containing the league's best running game was crucial too, with James Cook and company recording just eighty-six yards, their fewest of the year and just over half their 161.5-yard season average

Then there were the three critical ball losses, and the pair from Josh Allen in particular. An pass caught by defense in the end zone meaning a nine-minute possession produced nothing, and his final quarter dropped ball that the Dolphins turned into a touchdown just later

It was classic 'previous Bills teams' as they hurt themselves in the foot, getting into a deficit on defensive side and Josh Allen trying to overcompensate to dig his team out of it - not the composed, disciplined, balanced Buffalo team we've witnessed this season

Miami have demonstrated a varied performances this season so the jury's out on whether this is the start of a trend, but for Buffalo they'll need an instant response in a difficult matchup against Tampa Bay in week 11 as the Patriots are sneaking into a comfortable advantage at the summit of the American Football Conference East

Spotlight - New England Identify Route to Surprise Top Seed

Regarding the New England, they're one of three different eight and two squads in the NFL, all AFC teams, but are they the best?

You can pick holes in the Patriots, Denver and the Colts actually for feasting on the weaker opponents, with just five of their total twenty-four victories coming against teams with a positive record - and one of those was the Colts beating the Broncos

Denver defeated the champion Eagles in Philadelphia and are masters of the final quarter while Indianapolis can rely on Jonathan Taylor, but the New England including Sunday's win in Tampa to their primtime success in Buffalo appears to be a statement

Their pair of losses came in recently appointed coach Mike Vrabel's initial three games, with seven straight victories, similar to the Broncos, since then - but defeating Baker Mayfield after the Bucs had a bye to get ready was huge

Drake Maye's MVP claims won't go away, and he certainly deserves point for courage after absorbing some hard tackles in Tampa Bay but hanging in there to steer his team to victory

The defense is reliable and rookie running back TreVeyon Henderson burst onto the scene on Sunday with 147 rushing yards and two exhilerating touchdowns of 55 and 69 yards - becoming just the fifth runner to break 22 miles per hour this year on his initial touchdown

Although you can debate who 'the best' is statistically, the Patriots should be favourites to end with the top record due to their schedule - which includes just one game against a winning team, although a huge one against Buffalo

Traveling to the Ravens is challenging too, but the Broncos have it more difficult in the AFC West with the Chiefs to face two times, the Los Angeles Chargers (who could also compete for first place but face the identical challenge) and also the Green Bay on the fixture list

The Indianapolis also face the Chiefs, and have the Seahawks, 49ers and two matchups with the five and four Jacksonville to contend with. There's a considerable distance to travel but the opportunity is available for a shock top seed in the American Football Conference

Next Week - Los Angeles and Seattle Prepare for Week 11 Showdown

Two teams with solid claims to be superior to all of the three eight and two sides are NFC West rivals the Seattle and Rams, who each scored 40 burgers to go to 7-2 ahead of next week's Hollywood blockbuster game between the two in Los Angeles

They've both won four in a consecutive games, have signal callers in Stafford and Sam Darnold playing at an high standard (although Sam Darnold had turnover issues on Sunday) with excellent pass catchers, and defenses giving up fewer than twenty points a game

Each could easily be undefeated as well - especially the Rams as their two defeats came in overtime against the San Francisco and then that painful defeat in Philadelphia when they had a game-winning field goal with the final play deflected and run back by the Eagles for a score

Seattle were also defeated to San Francisco, with a last-minute score in week one, before losing to the final play of the game against the Tampa Bay - so they're truly among the top teams in the league

The next matchup on Sunday could be the best of the year so far

Player of the Week - Jonathan Taylor

Jonathan Taylor could be on for a record season after his remarkable performance in Berlin - rushing for 244 yards, scoring three touchdowns and adding another forty-two {receiving yards
