La Petite Maison's Bikini – A Recipe

We present an easy take on a cocktail featured on a new menu. It's a batch prepared mix which is bursting with the essence of a festive period, rendering it ideal for hosting a celebration. Reserve the remaining syrup you can use for brunch beverages, puddings, or to mix additional servings of the drink.

Bikini

Makes enough for 10 servings

To make the Clementine Syrup (yields 750ml)

300ml newly squeezed clementine juice
200ml newly squeezed lemon juice
500g granulated sugar

Ingredients for the Drink (produces 850ml, to serve 10)

400ml premium vodka
100ml London dry gin
150ml peach-flavored liqueur
200ml clementine cordial (see above)
A few cranberries, as a garnish
Mandarin essential oil, to finish

Directions

Making the Cordial: Put all the components inside a saucepan, heat until it reaches a simmer, agitating to dissolve. Next, take off the burner and leave to cool down completely. Pour to a clean bottle, close it and refrigerate it in the fridge, it can be stored for up to one month.

Preparing the Cocktail Base: Pour every spirits and syrup into one large bottle, allow it to infuse for one hour, then pass it through preferably using muslin, so it's completely strained.

To serve: Add 85ml of the batch mix into a stirring glass filled with ice, and agitate lightly for a minute to chill. Strain into a cold coupe glass or a similar vessel, garnish with the cranberries adding the final touch using a quick spritz with the mandarin essence over the top.
