The Ideal Pocket Monster Tales: Z-A Super Form Based on Your Astrological Sign

The comeback of Mega Evolutions in Pokémon Legends: Z-A has ignited widespread excitement across the fandom. Starting with the gradual reveal of newcomers ahead of the game's release, to players forming firm views on the full lineup of Mega Evolutions, there's plenty for fans to look forward to.

With numerous of the Super Forms boasting unique designs that highlight their personalities, one thought came to mind: What's the best way to link this with zodiac signs? The following is based on a mix of vibes, sign stereotypes, and personal experience.

The Ram – Super Camerupt

To be truthful, Houndoom was almost chosen for this fire sign, as both are the Mega Pokémon and astrological sign that evoke the greatest apprehension. But, a Super Houndoom appears as always angry, which doesn't match the Ram's energy, known for being fun, cheerful, and spontaneous. This makes Aries far more similar to Super Camerupt, which only spews lava when provoked. Stay on the good side of both and enjoy a powerful partner; should you offend them, be ready to face the consequences.

The Bull – Super Heracross

Similar to a loyal Taurus, the steadfast Heracross species, both in its regular and Mega form, has aided many trainers in Legends: Z-A. Though dependable, each the Pokémon and a Taurus are still battle-oriented, and – whether it's their companion or a firm belief – will stand up for their side to the end. The thing about Mega Heracross that reminds me most of my Bull-sign companions, however, is its unabashed love of snacks. Several previous Pokédex entries note their craving for sweet tree sap and how it employs its horn to collect it all, which is true Bull-sign vibe.

Gemini – Super Medicham

Look at this absolute queen. You cannot tell me this Pokémon is not the soul of every party, offering an constant stream of chatter to anyone who wants to hear. Just like an enrapturing, gregarious Twins, it's incredibly easy to envision Super Medicham captivating an whole Wild Zone with their stories. Medicham’s official description also states its ability to foresee an opponent's next moves, which sounds quite like a socially-savvy Gemini.

The Crab – Mega Manectric

The Crab is commonly regarded as the most sensitive sign of the zodiac, a passionate symbol famous for frequently getting absorbed in their emotions. Per the official info, Super Evolution charges the creature with a “huge quantity of electricity, but it's excessive for this Pokémon to fully control,” which seems a lot like a typical Cancer crash-out. It is also known for its ability to make a thundercloud over its own head – and if there’s one thing a Cancer is likely to do, it’s rain on their good time.

The Lion – Super Starmie

Oh, did you assume I was going to pick the lion Pokémon for the king of the stars? Besides the reality that it would be far too obvious, Leo is clearly Super Starmie, the diva whose gams just became an internet sensation for being too glamorous (or horrifying, depending on your preference). Players were captivated from the violet sea star, and that’s precisely the same vibe a Leo brings to the scene. This Pokémon is also said to be transmitting radio waves from its red core out into space, and it’s just like a Leo to be staging a performance, albeit for aliens.

The Maiden – Super Victreebel

The always-ready and constantly-worried Virgo is perfectly represented in Super Victreebel, the Super Form with constant digestive issues. The sign known for being charmingly critical is strongly mirrored throughout this Pokémon’s whole evolutionary chain, from a always shocked face like a Virgo when you tell them you lack a 401(k), to its inverted visage that’s just like the emoji a Virgo posts to the chatroom when everyone says they want to “be spontaneous” instead of creating a plan.

Libra – Mega Audino

Look at this sweet, sensitive creature, who uses the feelers on its ears to tell how others are feeling by their pulse. Always empathetic – sometimes to a detriment – and trying to keep the peace, there are numerous Libras who would probably appreciate Super Audino's abilities. Though, to be frank, it would probably just cause them to stress even more about everyone else.

The Scorpion – Super Banette

This Ghost-type is a Pokémon with a surprisingly tragic backstory: Abandoned as a toy, it became sentient through pure resentment and swore revenge on its previous caretaker. According to the official info, Super Evolution, “increases its spitefulness.” That sounds precisely like several discussions I’ve had with my scary Scorpion acquaintances. A Scorpio loves cosmic justice and comeuppance, making them the ideal pair with Super Banette.

The Archer – Mega Hawlucha

Each Mega Hawlucha and Archers are always putting on a show. Being a Sagittarius personally, the amount of times I’ve called myself some variation of a “playful little jester” is innumerable. The most flamboyant and most attention-seeking Mega Evolution, its Pokédex entry even mentions how it “poses to display its strength.” I would do the very same thing if I had some kind of Mega evolved form, making Mega Hawlucha the most fitting Archer counterpart I can imagine.

Capricorn – Super Absol

Were you aware that a Mega Absol has the ability to predict calamities in advance? That exudes the exact same energy as a Capricorn, who tends to always think they’re correct. Interestingly, much like a prophetic Super Absol, they frequently are. It’s also the very first Mega Evolution that trainers meet in Legends: Z-A – just like a Capricorn to join the ground floor of the Mega trend.

The Water Bearer – Mega Chandelure

Aloof element Aquarius is arguably the non-flame placement that is most like a fire sign – its sister sign is Leo, and there are countless jokes about Sagittarius and Aquarius being unpredictable accomplices. Super Chandelure's dual Ghost/Fire typing matches perfectly with this, and the Mega’s general intimidating aura is also very Water Bearer. If you weren’t already convinced, the Super Form's Pokédex entry says it “draws in hatred and converts it into power.” If that fails to perfectly {encaps
