The visionary game developer, the mind behind the immensely successful video game Call of Duty, has tragically died in a car accident in Los Angeles, California he was 55 years old.

His passing was announced by Electronic Arts, the publisher that controls Respawn Entertainment, the video game company that he helped create.

The renowned industry figure passed away following his vehicle was involved in a crash and burst into flames on a highway in the Los Angeles area on Sunday morning, as reported by.

"We are facing an unimaginable loss, and our hearts are with Vince's family, his loved ones, and all those touched by his work," a spokesperson for Electronic Arts said.
